Once you have completed your project, a great way of adding detail is to embellish your knitting - by simply sewing things on. Embroidery
This embroidery effect is achieved by working individual chain stitches to form petals. These can be grouped together to make a flower of four or five petals, or worked singly to create a leaf. Lazy daisy stitch looks very effective worked either as self-coloured embroidery or in contrast colours, using up any oddments of yarn you might have.
