This pattern makes a beautiful and delicate fabric for shawls, scarves, blouses, and fancy sweaters. It is easy to work, being made on the same gradual-increase and sudden-decrease principle that is exemplified by "Bear Track".

Row 1 (Right side)—K2, * yo, k8, yo, kl; rep from *, end kl. Row 2—K3, * p8, k3; rep from *. Row 3—K3, * yo, k8, yo, k3, rep from *. Row 4—K4, * p8, k5; rep from *, end last repeat k4.
