Pine Burr Pattern
This fascinating fabric is like an expanded Trinity Stitch. The wrong side is not unattractive, so the pattern is suitable lor scarves and other articles that show both sides. Note: A needle 3 or 4 sizes larger than the other needles should be used to work Rows 3 and 7, so that the stitches are enlarged enough to make the pattern rows (4 and 8) easier to work.
Multiple of 6 sts plus 2.
Row 3—With larger needle, kl, purl to last st, kl.
Row 4—Kl, * (kl, yo, kl, yo, kl) in one st, k5 tog-b; rep from *, end k 1. Rows 5, 6, and 7—Repeat Rows 1, 2, and 3. Row 8—Kl, * k5 tog-b, (kl, yo, kl, yo, kl) in one st: rep from *, end kl.
